October ‘24 and our Trustee Team have returned to Liberia to once again see for themselves how the money you raise is benefitting directly the children of Liberia.
We will publish a full newsletter report of their visit in November when they return, but in the meantime, a picture paints a thousand words!
Are you “happy"? The reception class would appear to be enjoying themselves!
On the 2nd day, the team have taken the arduous 7 hour ride to Tappita which meant so much to Sean. SDCF supports the education of up to 50 children in the area, working alongside the Salesians
The photos below, and this VIDEO, capture the day very well.
As the Trustees prepare to return home after a tiring week in Liberia, here again are some images and a film that captures days 3 and 4. These pictures are from schools where we support children in the greater Monrovia area and amongst the communities where your support funds self-help programmes. The young man in the blue top is blind and doing well at school; however his laptop needs a braille track to support his education; this is a real example of how a relatively small sum of money can transform a life!
The VIDEO shows Graduation Day for the 12th grade!
Mark, Theresa and Suzanne are now safely back home after a hugely satisfying but tiring trip. We will be publishing more detail of their trip in a forthcoming newsletter. In the meantime, there is one final moving video which records the thoughts of one of our SDCF University students and you can find this on the “University-Sean Devereux-Celia Reuter Bursary” section of this website.
