Here are a few pictures about out ‘Don Bosco Work’ to save and help the Darfur Boys. We repeat our thanks to you fo all you have done for our boys.

We have opened a ‘Women’s Development Centre’ in Nyala for about 100 girls. We have entrusted it to the Diocese. the Headmistress is a sister from Lebanvre. We have also opened in Ad-Daein (Darfur) a clinic with four Don Bosco sisters.

Dear Sir

The Chief, Elders, Women, Young Men and Children of Bombo Township and its surrounding villages wishes to convey their profound gratitude to the Management and staff of Sean Devereux Children’s Fund for kindly funding the drilling of a Borehole fitted a hand pump to provide clean, fresh and portable drinking water for them.

The Women and Children are most grateful for the facility because they are normally most hard hit by the acute water shortages in the community. In the dry season any time there is acute water shortage they travel long distances with all sorts of containers on their heads to find water for their domestic chores.

We also want to specially thank the coordinator ie the link between the village Chief and the FUND, Mr Gregory John Harding for effectively coordinating and monitoring the project implementation throughout the period. He has done so well. Very instrumental and inspirational from beginning to the end. We are very grateful to his entire family for their wonderful support behind the scenes. Among many received by Father Chucks earlier this year were these three letters of thanks for educational support from the Fund. They have been reproduced to show how much the support of Sean’s Fund means to those who receive this help. Dear all,
As you may already know, I will be running in this year’s Rome Marathon, an event for which I have been training since August (admittedly with a short alcohol-induced break over Christmas).

My aim is to raise funds for the Sean Devereux Children’s Fund, a charity committed to providing aid to children in Africa, with an emphasis on promoting self-sufficiency. It was founded following the assassination of UNICEF aid worker Sean Devereux in Somalia in 1993. I went to school with Sean.
