Tsunami Appeal Fund
The Sean Devereux Children’s Fund (SDCF), a registered charity based in Yateley, Hampshire, UK, specializes in providing aid to African Children and has been working with the Salesian Mission for over 10 years. The Salesian Missionaries are a charity operating world-wide and similarly direct their efforts to the welfare of poor children, with projects already well established in disaster areas. They provide a direct link to those most in need and can guarantee that donations benefit and reach local communities in need.
In the days immediately following the disastrous earthquake in Asia, Salesians in the stricken regions have visited and witnessed the desecration and the plight of the survivors. During their visits they have delivered food, clothing and money. They have long-term commitments to these countries, and funds will help to rebuild the lives of the survivors and support the many orphans left destitute.
The Salesian order has asked The Sean Devereux Children’s Fund to join forces with them and help in fundraising to support these projects; the Fund trustees have readily and enthusiastically agreed. Visit the Salesian Mission website at www.sdb.org to help these aims.
